Here at A.J. Perri Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, we’re all about spreading the love … and not just on Valentine’s Day or during the month of love! We have a real heart for our New Jersey community, and we show it through events, sponsorships, and programs to support those in need all year-round. AJP Cares program for veterans

In 2017, A.J. Perri founded the AJP Cares program to provide HVAC relief and installation to local veterans in need. We’ve partnered with several local TV and radio stations, including ABC7-TV (NY), Thunder 106 (NJ), and 107 The Boss (NJ), to identify and work with veteran and active military families.

We know that these selfless individuals can face incredible challenges in homeownership and maintenance, so we appreciate the opportunity to do anything we can to help. Over the past four years, we have installed air conditioners, heating systems, smart home technology, and air-filtration systems for many deserving families.

Free HVAC systems for healthcare workers

A more recent effort to support our community was installing free plumbing and HVAC equipment for two local healthcare heroes who have been fighting COVID-19 on the front lines. In partnership with our parent company, American Residential Services (ARS), dozens of free installations have occurred nationwide.

Like so many in our country, these two frontline health workers from New Jersey have been working hard to keep our community healthy amidst the pandemic, and we were thrilled to give back with the installation of a free water heater and HVAC system, respectively.

Service for a Cure makes strides against cancer

Our longest-running community program is the Service for a Cure program, which supports the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. Through Service for a Cure, we “ignite the fight” and donate $1 for every service call run throughout October to support Breast Cancer Awareness month.

In the last 10 years, A.J. Perri has raised nearly $50,000 for cancer research and patient support. With so many of our team members affected by cancer directly or through friends and loved ones, supporting local patient families and research to find a cure is an important aspect of our business’ community outreach.
