November 12, 2012 – Tinton Fall, NJ – Governor Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie recently announced the formation of The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The fund has the sole focus to assist residents impacted by the recent super storm that wrought damage and destruction in New Jersey and especially along the Jersey Shore. A.J. Perri, a locally owned and operated business in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, stepped forward to donate $30,000 to help local residents.
“The damage left by this storm affected all of us – our friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors and customers,” states Kevin Perri, Vice President of A.J. Perri. “When something this huge happens in your own backyard, you can’t help but want to lend a hand. We’re just grateful to have the means to provide support to our neighbors and commend others for doing so as well.”
According to Governor Christie, “As recovery efforts continue, we know that even greater needs will become apparent for our families who have been impacted so deeply and extensively by this disaster.” While New Jersey recovers and works toward returning to some semblance of normalcy, the devastation left behind will require time, resources and assistance to families who need it. The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund has been set up to facilitate the collection of donations and distributions of said donations to provide assistance to families who have been affected so greatly by the destruction of this storm.
You can join A.J. Perri and others by donating to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. A website was set up for online donations: http://sandynjrelieffund.org/. Donations to the fund can also be sent to the below address:
