A.J. Perri Cares

Last fall, A.J. Perri and Thunder 106 teamed up to say thank you to local veterans through its annual A.J. Perri Cares contest. After the nominations were received and finalist voting ended, Sean Nicholl from Freehold was selected as the winner of a home services makeover. Nicholl was nominated to win a new HVAC system as part of A.J. Perri Cares, which recognizes community members making a positive difference in the lives of those around them. Nicholl has spent the last 10 years serving in the United States Army. While deployed overseas, his bravery saved lives, and he continues to serve our country today.

Students Change Hunger

Fulfill (formerly known as The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties), in collaboration with Press Communications Radio, presented Students Change Hunger, a food drive competition for schools in Monmouth and Ocean counties, to help underserved individuals and families during the holiday season. Last year, more than 50,000 pounds of food and $33,000 were collected by 64 schools in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Ray & Bacchus Fantel’s Pickleball Fundraiser

Ray Fantel was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy when he was a baby. Since then, his parents have organized various fundraisers to assist with his medical and physical therapy expenses, Bacchus’ service dog training, and helping to provide the best possible quality of life for Ray. Mistletoe Rock Radiothon Phone Bank Sponsorship, benefiting JBJ Soul Kitchen

Organized by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, JBJ Soul Kitchen is a non-profit community restaurant, which seeks to provide healthy, locally sourced food in a restaurant setting to address issues of food insecurity. Each year, more than 170,000 meals are served in Monmouth and Ocean counties, and that number increased by 10% last year alone.
