At A.J. Perri, we encourage all our employees to give back to the communities in which we live and service. That’s one reason why we actively support the Tim Tebow Fountain and its annual Night to Shine event. Night to Shine partners with churches around the world to host a prom for special needs teenagers. Decked out in their finest dresses and suits, attendees spend the night being treated like kings and queens.
With the encouragement of our parent company and Night to Shine Corporate Global sponsor, ARS, we encourage our employees to see how they can make a difference with this great cause. One A.J. Perri employee and his wife answered our call to action in a very special way. Here’s what they have to say:
Frank Lamitina and his wife, Marina, donated over 3,000 garments to help Night to Shine attendees enjoy their special night. Selling their business after a health concern, the Lamitinas wondered what to do with the remaining inventory. Instead of selling it off, they found the perfect cause to support thanks to A.J. Perri and ARS.
The Lamitinas’ reach will far exceed just this one event, however. With 500 formal dresses going toward Night to Shine, the additional 2,500 garments will go to Dress for Success. Dress for Success is a global organization that helps women gain financial independence by providing development tools and professional attire to help them succeed in the workforce. By supporting these two great organization, thousands of lives have been positively impacted.
At A.J. Perri, we want to shine a light on worthy organizations and celebrate the employees who support them. Whether the donation is large, like the Lamitinas’ or small, making the world a better place starts with contributing what you can. Learn more about the causes and organization A.J. Perri supports, check out our 2016 archive.
