Tinton Falls, NJ (January, 2012) – A.J Perri, Inc., a local heating and cooling company, wants to ensure the public is aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide gas, which is produced in furnaces and can be deadly if not ventilated outside. According to the CDC, the United States averages about 500 carbon monoxide (CO) fatalities each year and the greatest number of these are in January.

A.J. Perri Heating, Cooling and Plumbing recently helped raise over $3,400 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer as a team of co-workers, family members and friends participated in the 2011 Making Strides of Point Pleasant Beach. 17,000 walkers participated in the event on Sunday morning, including more than 800 breast cancer survivors.

This year The FoodBank cites “a record number of people in need of food in our own community due to the challenging economic times.” Kevin Perri, Vice President of A.J. Perri, states, “We want to encourage everyone in the community to get involved and help those in need through this great program.”

A.J. Perri, Inc. and Press Communications have joined forces and are offering Thunder 106, The Breeze Radio, and B98.5 listeners a chance to win a $25,000 check to use for home improvements. Kevin Perri, Vice President of A.J. Perri, states, “In this down economy, many homeowners have had to cut out the extras, with home improvements often being the first things sacrificed. This contest gives us an opportunity to help out one of our New Jersey neighbors, allowing them to upgrade their home and provide a better living environment for their family.”
